Meet Profe Don

Hello! My name is Profe Don. With nearly 35 years of experience as a state-certified Spanish teacher (1993-2026), I've helped thousands of students learn Spanish using authentic, scaffolded content. I've taught 2nd-12th grade in public, private, and home school. I've also taught at the university level, and I've developed curriculum for all grade levels.

I help my students learn the Spanish language in real-life, natural settings using guided immersion, an approach that uses authentic listening and reading to prompt opportunities for speaking and writing in Spanish. This is followed by instant feedback and coaching to ensure confident gains in the use of Spanish.

I have Master of Arts in Education and have devoted my professional life to Spanish language and cultural education. I have decades of experience teaching everything from Introductory Spanish courses to Honors Spanish V to International Baccalaureate PYP and MYP Spanish language acquisition.
